Aged, Blind, Disabled (ABD): Determining Income Eligibility

You must determine income eligibility for individuals who apply for medical benefits.

All income the client and spouse receive or should be receiving must be considered.

Some income is disregarded or exempt, and this is explained in OAC 317:35-5-42.

If there is income the individual or couple should be receiving, she or he must apply for it during the eligibility process.
