TANF: Guidelines for Submitting Questions to TANF Mailbox

Prior to emailing the TANF Mailbox, the Worker should always:

  • Have case notes brought up to date
  • Review the subject in TANF policy
  • Review Quest articles
  • Consult with Supervisor

If you still need guidance, please email us at the TANF Mailbox at AFS.TANF@okdhs.org 

To email the TANF Mailbox the supervisor should include:

Subject Line:

  • Type the subject of your question such as “Earned Income”

Body of Email:

  • Provide case number and client name
  • Give us as much information regarding the situation and the question being asked

Emails to the TANF Mailbox can only be sent by your supervisor.


The TANF unit strives to answer each question submitted to the mailbox the same day.  However, there are some instances where we have to verify additional information or consult with another Program Unit to provide you with the most accurate guidance.   Therefore, please allow 24-48 hours for a response from the TANF mailbox. If it has been longer than 48 hours, please resubmit your question and cc Rhonda.Archer@okdhs.org.
