The following are instructions on using EWA to Associate Workers with Assignment Methods.
- Select “Worker / Supv Assign” from the EWA menu
- Select the County Office and Action Type and click on “OK”.
- To add a supervisory group to this assignment method click on “Show Supervisor Panel”. Select a supervisor from the dropdown list, then click on “Add Supervisor”
- To add a worker to this assignment group select the supervisor of that worker, then select the worker and click on “Add Worker”
Alphabetical – If the assignment type is alphabetical you must assign the first (Begin Alpha) and last (End Alpha) letter of the cases that should be assigned to this worker. If there are any gaps in the alphabet – those cases will be assigned to the worker of record.
Rotation – If the assignment type is rotation you may indicate whether or not a worker is currently active. If a worker goes on extended leave you may want to update their status to “inactive” so that no cases are assigned to them during that time. When they are ready to receive cases again, change the status back to “active”
Default – If the assignment type is default no action is needed on the Worker/Supv Assign page. All cases of this action type be assigned to the default worker designated on the Assignment Method page.
Reassign – if the assignment type is reassign no action is needed on the Worker/Supv Assign page. All cases of this action type will be re-assigned to the county location identified in the “Assignment Location” field on this page. Cases will be assigned based on the assignment method for the receiving county.
Worker of Record – If the assignment type is worker of record you may indicate whether or not a worker is currently active. If a worker goes on extended leave you may want to update their status to “inactive” so that no cases are assigned to them during that time. When they are ready to receive cases again, change the status back to “active”
