When we became a SSI Criteria State, state office began completing a large number of medical reviews for staff. The auto renew process can only be completed on cases that have SNAP included with the medical case. And, then it must meet the following additional criteria:
- SSP is due for review within the next 2 months
- Client receives at least $1 of SSI
- No (Long Term) LT authorizations on case
- No Property / Resources on case
- Not on the OHCA Medically Fragile list
It is important to realize that this is a manual process and may not be completed on the same day each month. We are committed to having the process completed by the 10th of the month.
This is a manual process for state office staff, so some reviews may get missed. However, the general rule is if it remains on your CWA after the 10th, then work the case as you would with any other review.
What can I do to make the process work better for me?
- When you receive a new SNAP application that meets the criteria above, move the application to the SSP case and this will allow the SSP to be reviewed for you automatically in the future.
