Literacy – Literacy is the ability to use printed and written information to function in society, to achieve one’s goals, and to develop one’s knowledge and potential. Literacy screening is mandatory for TANF Work participants who have not obtained a high school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate and have demonstrated a lack of literacy skills.
