There are two key provisions for offices and employees to follow.

  • Any person may see certain personnel records, while permitting agencies to treat other items as confidential.
  • Home addresses, home telephone numbers and social security numbers of employees have special protection in the Oklahoma Personnel Act. A court order or written permission of the current or former state employee is required for disclosure.

Contact the Office of Communication (405) 521-3027 and/or Legal Services (405)521-3638 to discuss how and if to release any information requested.
