The FSLB transaction in IMS allows you to supplement or issue SNAP benefits prior to the current or previous two months. Use it when DHS failed to issue SNAP benefits to which a household qualified and the benefits were for a time before the previous two months. You will use the FSSR transaction to issue or supplement benefits for the current or previous two months.

Before beginning it is recommended to copy the EC screen as a reference.

Use the following instructions for the FSLB transaction.

To access the FSLB transaction, type FSLB and then press Enter.

Enter the following information:

case

Enter the case number

worker

Enter your U number

supervisor

Re-enter your U number

for date:

Enter the appropriate date.

1. This is the first of the month when supplementing an existing benefit.
2. It is the certification date when performing a retro-certification.

discovery date

Enter the date you discovered the need to restore benefits. This must be within the notice time limit.

due to agency error

Enter (Y, or N) whether the lost benefits resulted from an agency error.

Typiss

Enter LP for “Prior (Retro) Certification or LS for “Supplement (NO-FNS-Declared Disaster)

Update the remaining fields to reflect the verified circumstances for that month.

Press Enter.

The system checks your entries for potential errors. Corrections may be required.

If there are no errors and the amount to issue is correct, press Enter to issue the benefit.
