Guidelines for Reporting Changes
The household must report changes by 10 days from the date of the change. Both change reporting and simplified reporting households will follow this rule.
Post-Interview
Workers will need to give the client the Changes in Household Circumstances form, Form 08FB038E after the interview, and explain reporting guidelines for their particular household.
Types of SNAP Households
Annual Reporting households – all adult household members are either elderly or disabled, and there are no sources of earned income.
Only required to report changes in gross monthly income exceeding 130 percent of the monthly poverty income guidelines for their household size.
Semi-annual reporting households – all SNAP benefit households, except those considered annual reporting or certain households that contain one or more able-bodied adults without dependents (ABAWD).
Required to report changes in gross monthly income exceeding 130 percent of the monthly poverty income guidelines for the household contains an AWAWD meeting the work rule. They must report if the ABAWD’s hours decrease below 20 hours per week average.
For all Change Reporting Households – all SNAP benefit households that are not a simplified annual or semi-annual reporter. The following changes are required to be reported:
- sources of income
- unearned income of $50 per month or more
- earned income of more than $100 per month
