A customer may buy the following items with SNAP benefits:
- Fruits and vegetables
- Meat, fish, and poultry
- Dairy products
- Bread
- Jams and honey
- Sauces and soups
- Baked goods (wrapped, labeled and intended for home consumption)
- Plants that grow food
- Seeds that produce food
A customer CANNOT buy the following items with SNAP benefits:
- Food meant to be eaten on-site
- Hot foods
- Beer, wine or liquor
- Tobacco products
- Non-food items
- Vitamins and medicines
- Toiletries and hygiene products
- Paper products
Oklahoma Healthy Food Waiver – Effective February 15, 2026.
Food Items no longer eligible for purchase with SNAP include:
Candy – which includes chocolate bars, hard candies, gummies, caramels, taffy, licorice, mints or chewing gum.
Soft Drinks – which include carbonated soda, energy drinks, sweetened bottled or canned tea, sweetened bottled or canned lemonade, and flavored or sweetened water.
