Programs: NewIdentity Verification

340:50-5-65

Oklahoma Human Services is required to verify the identity of the payee/head of household of each SNAP case. We are also required to verify any authorized representative for benefits as well. There are several options that can verify identity for an individual.

Examples from policy:

  • Driver’s license
  • Work or school ID
  • Identification card for health or other social service programs
  • Paystubs
  • Birth certificate
  • Voter registration card

If the customer is unable to provide any of the more common forms of ID, such as those listed above, any document that can reasonably establish an individual’s identity should be accepted. It is possible to use collateral contact if no other documentation can be provided.

See Verification Guide for First Contact Resolution as it pertains to verifying identity
