Aged, Blind, Disabled (ABD): NewCoding Medical Tab with Early Periodic Screening Diagnosis & Treatment

Child Health or Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnosis and Treatment (EPSDT) is a preventive health care package for children ages 20 or younger enrolled in Oklahoma Medicaid.

In FACS, the acceptance of offer for medical or dental services is recorded on the Medical Tab in Interview Notebook. The process below is for medical cases that are housed with DHS for eligibility with children on the medical benefit.

On the Medical Tab,

  • Does this person want medical services? Check Yes
  • Is this person pregnant? Check applicable answer
  • If pregnancy is checked yes, enter responses for date of delivery, expected number of births, and adoption question.
  • Check Yes – if family planning is requested.
  • Check Yes – if SSI-DCP services are requested.
  • Click on the EPSDT box

Check boxes On the Medical Tab in FACS

 

On the EPSDT dialogue box, select child for whom the medical case is for. Enter response for both the medical (physical screen) and dental services and enter the date.
