What is ABD?
Aged, Blind and Disabled (ABD) refers to individuals that are
- Aged – Age 65 or older
- Blind
- Disabled – According to the rules of the Social Security Administration
ABD related individuals can be eligible for:
- State Supplemental Payment program
- Special Medical
- Qualified Medicare Beneficiary Plus (QMBP)
- Specified Low-Income Medicare Beneficiaries (SLMB)
- Qualifying Individuals Group 1 (QI-1)
- Long Term Care (LTC)
- Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsibility Act (TEFRA)
