Why Long-Term Care is important?

With over 24,000 individuals receiving nursing home benefits in the state of Oklahoma in the year 2013, the Long-Term Care programs assists individuals who require around the clock nursing care. The Nursing Home benefit assists eligible individuals with the cost of care for residing in a Nursing Facility. This benefit enables the in-home spouse, who doesn’t require care, to maintain a standard of living at home.
Personal Care and ADvantage programs provide additional support to the individual. They help a person maintain their independence for as long as possible and at the same time receive assistance with their pressing health needs which do not require around the clock care. Providing care in a person’s home is more cost-efficient. Skilled care is provided only in nursing homes or hospitals for those enrolled in Medicare Part A or currently receiving Medicaid services.
