What is FDeny?  (Hint to remember: Future Deny)

FDeny is a status indicating a future denial for a SNAP application.  The application will continue to pend until the 30^th day unless the FDeny status is cancelled, the benefits are certified, or the case is denied for a different reason.  The FDeny status will automatically deny the application without any further action when used appropriately.

What are the FDeny statuses?

FDeny 59: When a household fails to complete an interview by the 30^th day.  A Notice of Missed Interview (NOMI) is automatically mailed when this status is applied.

FDeny 45: When a household fails to provide requested verification.

FDeny 59

This status will automatically be applied on the 11^th day after the application date (if not already in FDeny 45 status) and a NOMI will automatically be issued.

When: This status must be cancelled if an interview is completed before the 30^th day.

FDeny 45

This status must be applied anytime an ADM-92 is issued. However if the due date of the verification is after the 30-day application period, FDeny cannot be used.

When: The FDeny status is placed on the case at the same time the ADM-92 is sent. It must be cancelled if all required verification has been received before the 30^th day.

Current Outcome for FDeny:

• FDeny 59 and a NOMI has been mailed is Pending without a due date.
• FDeny 45 when an ADM92 has been mailed for required verification is Pending without a due date.
• FDeny 45 when an ADM92 has been mailed ONLY for expenses is Pending With a Due Date as case must be reviewed.
