IMS: UpdatedFinding and Identifying Edit Errors in IMS

  1. Obtain the edit number via the G3 transaction. In IMS, type G3 <space> Case NumberIMS screen displaying command to access g3 screen.
    Edit Numbers start with the prefix PSEIMS window open. An Edit Number is outlined in a red box, starting with the PSE prefix
  2. In IMS Type M <space> Edit Number, then press enterIMS command to access additional information for edit error PSEfx163.
    The Extended Edit Text usually gives more specifics about which blocks to update in FACS, as in the example below.Some Extended Error texts are more than one page in length. Press Enter key to page forward.IMS screen containing additional information regarding edit error.

PSE565 Shelter Type (A23) Must Be Updated
PSE584 The identity of the payee on a SNAP or Child Care case must be verified. (F221).
PSE568 Military Status (F62) must be entered.
PSE424 The SNAP Work Registration Status Field (F170) is either blank or has an invalid code.
PSE478 All SNAP recipients must have a valid status for Work Registration
PSE425 Work Regisitration status must be updated for all household members at certification and mid-certification renewal unless exempt due to age.
PSECX6 If Certification Date (C2) is greater than current date, the day of the month must be the first.
PSECX7 If the day of C2, Certification Date, is not 01, then C2, Certification Date, Must Equal C1, Application Date.
PSEF33 Citizenship/Alienage is Invalid
PSEFX175 Living Arrangement (F51) must be entered.
PSEFX166 If this person is included in any of the following benefits, then Verified SSN must be entered.
PSEFX159 Education Level (F35) must be entered.
PSEFX833 The Benefit Effective Date (F27) for Food Benefits Must be Updated. It cannot be a date prior to the Certification Date in C2.
PSEEX572 Child Care Tab – Enter a renewal date that is the first day of the month.
PSEEX91 When Child Care is Certified or Renewed, there must be a valid entry in the Resource Declaration Field (E56).
