Unsubsidized employment – is full-time or part-time employment in the public or private sector that is not subsidized by TANF or any other public program.
Work activity payments – payments issued to persons participating in or ready to participate in assigned work activities when they need a small amount of cash to purchase specific items to aid them in participating in their assigned work activities such as a tank of gas, clothing, or personal items
Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) – is a federal law that permits for-profit employers to take a credit on their federal income tax when workers from certain target groups are hired.
Subsidized employment – when a public or private sector employer receives a subsidy from TANF or other public funds to offset some or all of the wages and costs of employing a TANF recipient.
