Unsubsidized Employment

Unsubsidized employment – is full-time or part-time employment in the public or private sector that is not subsidized by TANF or any other public program.

Work Experience Program (WEP)

Work Experience Program (WEP) – the purpose of WEP is to provide skill training and work enhancement to Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) participants that will enable them to move toward self-sufficiency and obtain unsubsidized employment following completion of the placement.

Subsidized Employment Program (SEP)

Subsidized Employment Program (SEP) – a subsidized employment program through which a TANF participant is hired in full-time employment with DHS reimbursing the employer for partial wages for up to four months.
