Telework is the process where DHS allows an employee to work from home using a computer connection to the DHS network.
No OKDHS equipment will be used at the remote location. All telecommunications equipment is the expense of the employee. This includes, but is not limited to, equipment repair/expense and software expense.
Business telephone calls made from the remote work location are not a reimbursable expense.
Although, there are benefits for both DHS and the employee in this arrangement, it must be stressed that Telework is a privilege, not an entitlement. And, to that end, guidelines have been established for the worker to follow.
