Authorized representative – a person who is knowledgeable of the household circumstances and who is designated in writing by the head of the household, spouse, or other responsible household member to act on behalf of the household in applying for and obtaining child care subsidy or food benefits.  For SNAP, if the only adult member of the household is classified as a non-household member, that person may be designated as the authorized representative for minor household members.
