Many times, the problems that the worker experiences during processing are often issues that are within the power of the worker to fix. With that in mind, there is an established protocol to follow before you contact the Remedy (AFS HelpDesk) for assistance.
- Try to Input
- “As best as you can” the first time
- Attempt to clear the edit twice
- Consult your Resources
- Extended Edit Text (M<space>edit number)
Refer to: IMS: Finding and Identifying Edit Errors in IMS - Quest
- Extended Edit Text (M<space>edit number)
- Consult with an AFS Supervisor
- Make 2 or more attempts to clear the problem with the supervisor’s assistance
- If you remain unable to fix the problem, then submit a Remedy ticket to the Help Desk.
- If you are unable to submit a ticket via Remedy Web, contact the AFS Help Desk by email.
