This article covers two situations concerning the State Supplemental Payment (SSP).
Situation 1 – Worker finds that the ABD Medical application was certified without SSP eligibility being determined within the last 6 months of the medical app.
Resolve – The worker will need to complete a c-change in the D section in order to put the SSP (B section) in app status effective the app date and certify the B section, walking it up if necessary. If the SSSP does not issue with the B section certification, then use the instructions in linked article for the F17C to supplement the SSP.
Note – A medical application within the past six months can be used to address SSP. If the Medical application is over 6 months and there is no current TANF or SNAP application, then a new application for SSP will be needed along with an FSS-1-B.
Situation 2 – Worker finds that the SSP didn’t issue correct amount
Resolve – The worker will correct the amount, then use the instructions in linked article for the F17C to supplement the SSP.
The following procedures also apply if:

- The SSP was improperly closed
- The Finance tab was certified in such a way that no SSP issued when the client was ineligible.
- The worker failed to determine SSP eligibility at the time of the medical determination.
