TEFRA – means the Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsibility Act of 1982 (Public Law 97-248). TEFRA provides coverage to certain disabled children living in the home who require a level of care provided in an acute care hospital for a minimum of 60 days, or a nursing facility or intermediate care facility for individuals with intellectual disabilities for a minimum of 30 days.
